The applications are now open for the Ireland Government international Education Scholarship 2025(GOI-IES). The Ireland Government international education scholarship is a prestigious program for international students who want to study in Ireland. This scholarship supports international students who want to pursue a Masters, postgraduate Diploma or PhD at Irish universities. This program supports the high- caliber international students who wish to study at NFQ levels 9 or 10(Masters, postgraduate diploma or PhD) in Ireland.

The Ireland Government international Education Scholarship 2025(GOI-IES).his scholarship is funded by the government and higher education institutions (HEIs) and is managed by the Higher Education Authority. Under this initiative, a total of 60 scholarships will be awarded for each year for one-year full-time study at NFQ levels 9 or 10.  Applicants from any field can apply for this incredible opportunity to study in Ireland, the final-year students are also eligible to apply. The academic year begins in September or October 2025. Applications must be submitted online before the deadline through an eligible Irish HEI. 

The Ireland Government international scholarship 2025 is an excellent opportunity for international students to receive world-class education while exploring Ireland’s rich heritage. A Government of Ireland international education scholarship consists of €10,000 for one-year full-time study. The awardees’ host higher education institute are required to give a full fee wavier to the awardees for the year of their scholarship. Scholarship Duration:

  • One year Only: The scholarship is valid for one academic year and cannot be extended.
  • No Repeat funding: Recipients are not eligible to repeat for a second year.

Eligibility Criteria:

In order to be eligible for the Ireland Government International Education Scholarship 2025 program, you must:

  • Applicants must have a domicile of origin outside EU/EEA, Switzerland and the United Kingdom.
  • Candidates will first apply for admission to relevant masters, postgraduate diploma or PhD program offered by an eligible higher education institute as per that institution’s admission procedures.
  • Applicants must have a conditional or final offer of admission to that higher education institute at the time of applying for the Government of Ireland International Education Scholarship and will require to submit a copy of same.
  • Candidates who have previously held a GOI-IES scholarship are not eligible to apply.

Following are the steps to apply for the Ireland Government International Education Scholarship 2025.

  • Apply to an Institution: Submit an application to an eligible Irish University.
